Meet Kevin Foster and Jeremy McNutt, Newly Hired & Promoted Team Members

This summer has been great for Affinity. Because of our growth, we’re excited to announce that we have both added to and promoted from within our team! Kevin Foster joins us as our newest Systems Administrator. Jeremy McNutt has been promoted to Project Manager and Systems Administrator. These personnel changes reflect our continued commitment to providing the best technology service and client experience possible.

Meet Kevin

Kevin Foster joins Affinity as a Systems Administrator. In this role, he will serve as a member of our support team — our “first responders” for client issues. He will also help manage the automated tools Affinity uses to manage the security and productivity of our clients' systems proactively.

Most recently, Kevin worked as a Systems Support Specialist for Malham Leverage Group, where he supported users in a Windows and Mac environment, maintained company servers and data center security, and administered VoIP, Exchange, and Active Directory. Previously, Kevin worked as a Help Desk Support Specialist for iPractice Group, a company that specialized in providing EHR software for medical practices. Kevin also spent time working in Metro Nashville Public Schools, teaching a STEM class, as well as 4th-grade math and science. He holds a B.A. in Mass Communications with an Information Systems minor from Lipscomb University and a M.A. in Teaching from Trevecca University.

Kevin has been interested in working with technology for as long as he can remember. He recalls being fascinated by the combination video camera and VCR that his dad brought home when he was a kid, and figuring out how to use it at a very young age! Apart from his interest in technology, Kevin also enjoys playing music (he plays guitar, bass, and piano) and working on old cars. He and his wife also had their first child this summer, so wish them luck!

Betsy Wright, Affinity’s VP of Operations, says of Kevin, “Kevin brings the right combination of technology and training experience that will be valuable to our clients as their IT and business needs evolve.” We’re thrilled that Kevin has joined our team, and we know our clients will be as well!

Congratulations, Jeremy!

Jeremy McNutt has been working with Affinity as a PC/Mac Technician. Much of his time has been devoted to delivering our Affinity Home services, from designing and implementing Internet Safety Plans to keep kids and teens safe online to helping folks find the right WiFi solutions for their homes. Jeremy will continue to provide these services, but will also take on a larger role in Affinity’s project team in his new position as Project Manager and Systems Administrator. In this new role, Jeremy will serve as a liaison between our clients and our project engineers, coordinating, scheduling, and otherwise facilitating the communication and planning that make Affinity’s projects successful.

Many of our clients will have already met Jeremy, as he began transitioning into his role as Project Manager before this official promotion. As Betsy Wright puts it, “Jeremy has been a great resource for helping us organize our projects, both for home and business clients. We’re thrilled that he will take an even more active role in enhancing project efficiency and client experience.”

For his part, Jeremy is excited as well. “Affinity embodies the vision and values that seek to define success by the ultimate success and growth of their clients,” he says, “I love being a part of translating that vision into a reality while engaging with clients and interacting with our team here.”

Jeremy brings solid training and experience into his role with Affinity. Before coming to us, he worked as the Business/IT Coordinator for the dental practice of Timothy E. McNutt, DDS. In that role, he managed all office IT and marketing efforts, as well as cash flow and payroll. As you can see, he brings terrific organizational skills to the table, which makes him an asset in his role with Affinity. He also holds a B.B.A. and a Master’s in Information Technology Management from Lipscomb University.

Outside of work, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his family, writing, and cheering on his favorite sports teams – the Atlanta Braves, Tennessee Volunteers, Tennessee Titans, and Nashville Predators!
